Questions
What exactly am I buying?
A five-page PDF: a to-scale planting layout, a native plant list with sizes, quantities, and spacing, a compliance packet matched to your county's rebate program rules, and an application submission sheet. The paperwork is the product. The layout shows where things go; the packet is what you file.
Is my rebate guaranteed?
No. Counties approve or deny applications on their own criteria: site conditions, program funding, rule changes. What we promise is that your application will be complete and matched to the program's published requirements as of our last check.
Are these professional landscape designs?
No. Each plan is a reference layout sized for homeowner installation and adaptation — not site-specific design, and not prepared by a licensed landscape architect. You adapt the layout to your yard and submit the application as your own. For grading, drainage work, or anything structural, hire a licensed professional.
How do I get my plan after paying?
Checkout runs through Stripe. After payment, you get a download link by email, valid for 72 hours. If it expires, email orbitdesk.ops@gmail.com and we will reissue it.
Are the plants really native?
Every plant in every plan was checked against USDA data for the state it is sold in. If a county program updates its approved list, we update the plan.
What is your refund policy?
Digital downloads are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not submitted the plan with a rebate application. Email orbitdesk.ops@gmail.com from your order email address and we will refund you. Full details in the Terms of Sale.
Do I need a contractor to install this?
No. The plans are sized for homeowner installation, and the rebate programs we target allow DIY projects. For rain gardens, get a percolation test first, and call 811 before you dig. If your site needs grading or drainage work, hire a professional for that part.
Which counties do you cover?
At launch: Prince George's County, Montgomery County, Rockville, and Gaithersburg, Maryland. The free rebate database tracks 23 programs across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and new county editions follow demand.
Who publishes these plans?
